One sunny autumn afternoon, we decided to get out and just go to Shibuya. It was nothing special, we were just bored. Going to Shibuya was not really a problem since it was just one train ride away.
Village Vanguard and the Banana Vending Machine
Village vanguard is famous for it’s random accessories and idol events. It also has this Dole Banana vending machine outside it’s front door

IKEA
We were also looking for some stuff for the house ( and some chocolate ) so passed by IKEA. It is a rather small shop compared to the one in Yokohama but you get the basics and I think that’s ok.
Udagawa Police Box

A police box or 交番 “kouban” Is always visible in a district. It can be near stations or busy areas. I’m still wondering why the Udagawa Kouban looks like a robot.
Garbage on Garbage

Sometime one would see cardboard boxes outside storefronts ( or houses ). This is because it it likely the day cardboard boxes are to be picked up. In this case unfortunately, some people put their unwanted trash on them thinking that it is some kind of garbage bid.
No, public garbage bins are not common in Tokyo ( and many other places in Japan).
So it is likely that tourists did this ( or locals that are just lazy – hipster kids maybe ? )
Shibuya Crossing

The most popular attraction in Shibuya as i have observed. Sometime I cross this intersection just to see the tourists take pictures. It is really an amazing thing to see.
Mega Don Quijote Shibuya

If you want to buy really random stuff ( and basic daily needs ) go to Don Quijote. It’s open 24 hours a day
Ishibashi Music Store

If you are a music gear lover, you have to take a look at Ishibashi Music store. There are other music stores in Shibuya but this is one of the awesome music stores i have seen
Going Home
As i mentioned, Shibuya is just one train ride from where we come from. Speaking of trains , Shibuya Station has a LOT of train lines connecting to it.
JR East
JA Saikyō Line / JS Shōnan–Shinjuku Line (Yamanote Freight Line)
JY Yamanote Line
Private railways
Keio Inokashira Line
DT Den-en-toshi Line
TY Tōyoko Line
Subways
G Ginza Line
Z Hanzōmon Line
F Fukutoshin Line
So it is a common meet up place even for me and my friends. Unlike Shinjuku Station where the trains are all jumbled up inside the station, Shibuya Station is more friendly.
